‘Glory be to the One Who took His servant (the Prophet (saw)) by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram (in Makkah) to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa (in Al-Quds), whose surroundings we have blessed, to show him some of Our signs.
Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing’.
(The Noble Qur’an, 17:1)
What will you learn in this course?
In this course, you will find everything we need to learn about the Palestinian cause and the story of Holy Jerusalem. We will learn, in a simplified and engaging manner, the basic concepts and facts about Palestine, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Palestinian cause.
Location and Borders
The Center of the Middle East, on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Bordered to the west by the Mediterranean Sea, to the east by Jordan, to the north by Lebanon, and to the south by Egypt, Palestine is considered an important cultural and historical crossroads.
Historical Introduction
The crisis began with the rise of Zionist immigration in the late nineteenth century, followed by the British occupation after World War I. It worsened with the declaration of the establishment of the entity and the killing and displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
Flag of Palestine
It consists of three horizontal bands: black at the top, followed by white, then green, intersected by a red triangle on the left. Drawn in a precise order, it embodies the unity and struggle of the people and is a symbol of Palestinian national identity.
Map of Palestine
It highlights its strategic location and includes key regions such as the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem. It reflects the geographical diversity of plains, coasts, mountains, and valleys. It also highlights the administrative divisions and borders.
Land Theft
The theft of Palestinian land was not a sudden event. Rather, it was the result of colonial schemes that began with the Balfour Declaration. Zionist immigration and international support for the establishment of a national homeland for the Jews continued, leading to the displacement of the indigenous population.
The Bounties of Palestine
Palestine is distinguished by its fertile land and vital geographic location, in addition to its abundant water and rich agricultural products, such as olive oil and citrus fruits. This made it a target for the Zionist movement, which sought to control its resources and wealth.
Jerusalem City
Jerusalem is the historical capital of Palestine and one of the oldest cities in the world. It is distinguished by its great Islamic status, as it is the first of the two Qiblahs, the place where the Prophet ascended to heaven, the third of the mosques to which people travel.
Inspiring Stories
Throughout history, Palestinian heroes have written epics of steadfastness and sacrifice in defense of their land and dignity. These inspiring stories embody the spirit of relentless struggle and unwavering will despite the occupation and tremendous challenges.
Our Role in the Case
Our support for the Palestinian cause begins with awareness, spreading the truth, boycotting the occupation, supporting the people through the media and politics, providing humanitarian and material support, and strengthening identity and culture in the face of attempts at erasure and Judaization.
